Derby wife? WIVES! Dogfood (SIRG), Liz Vicious (CVRG), Caslamity Jane (BRRG), Valanthe Nai'lo (RCRG).  I also have a derby girlfriend...Candy Korn (BRRG),a mistress...Liquor Possi (BRRG) and a concubine...Riggor Morticia (BRRG).

Why this derby name and number? My maiden name is Rushin, my first name is Katy. Now...take the K and the first part of my former last name....K+Rush=Krush.Got it?!?!
 
I love 80's hip hop. I had a RUN DMC song stuck in my head all day at work one day and it reminded me of the movie Krush Groove. I though..."YES! Krush Groove! What an awesome movie! Its sooooo going to be my derby name!"

I moved 500 miles away from most of my friends and family to Asheville, NC in 2007.  My first weekend there, I went to see the Blue ridge Roller Girls in their first ever bout. These ladies kicked some serious ass. I knew I had to be a part of it!  I began practicing with them in October of 2007 and skated with them until I moved back to southern Illinois in May of 2009. I fell in love with the sport and didn't want to quit playing so I (with the help of several other totally radical ladies) started the Southern Illinois Roller Girls!

Drink of choice: Coffee. OJ. Gin and Tonic. Irish Car Bomb

Non-derby hobbies: riding my bike, hiking, sleeping, dancing!

Favorite song to skate to: Peter Piper-RUN DMC, Bombs Over Baghdad-Outkast

Turn ons: Abraham Lincoln, Cheesecake, pop punk, beards, clean bearings

Turn offs: mouth breathers, mayonnaise, animal cruelty, bossy pants know it alls.
